Question of the Week:

Here are some answers we got when we asked LatinaVoz.com members:

Is the United States ready for a woman to be President? If there were a qualified woman running in the 2008 presidential election would you vote for her?

i'd vote for a woman, but i don't think we're ready for a woman.- Liz Valencia

Yes. I would vote for a woman. - Mercedes A. Lugo

I don't think a woman can win unless she has served in the military.  We are living in very dangerous times, and we need a person who understands war.

Anybody would be better than the male choices we've had.  Rosa Hernandez

I would not vote for Hillary Clinton.   Anonymous

It's odd that a country that recently became a democracy (Chile) elected a female President, but a country that has had 200 years of democracy has yet to elect a woman President.  Que Pasa?  -Monica Martinez

Last week's question:

Which age was your best? Why?

Cool question … my easy answer is Fifties and beyond! Because that’s when all I had learned in the first 50 years gave me the confidence to be the person I am (and want to be) in the next 50; 50 also allowed me to take a deep breath and not take myself so seriously.

I have loved them all the same.  Well, maybe not my teens so much.  I loved being 25 because I looked 15. I loved being 35 because I looked 25.  I love being 45 because my husband says I look like a hot 35 year old.  I love being a Latina with olive skin.

I'd have to say 30.  My 30th birthday celebration was a blast.  I graduated with my degree-Finally! and I got engaged, and it's been a year full of love and fun.

25 was my best age.  I moved out from my parent's house.  FREEDOM!!!

My best experience was when I was in my thirties. It was not a very happy experience because I moved to this country from Mexico with two little daughters, and I did not speak English, but the good thing was that I earned more self confidence, courage, and a positive spirit. These traits help me to progress and make a good life for me and my two daughters.
