March is women’s history month.  It’s a time when women come together in spirit and purpose to celebrate their lives, and the lives of women everywhere.

And though we may be separated geographically, and be divided culturally, and politically, there is a much more important common denominator that unites us- our desire for equality and freedom.

It’s a month to appreciate the sacrifices and struggles of the women who came before us, and a day to recommit ourselves in helping the women who still suffer from discrimination and oppression.

On this special month of sisterhood, let's reach out and recognize the women in our lives that have contributed to our success and that have paved a smoother road for us to travel.

And remember, while progress has been made for many women around the world, we must continue to have the courage and the perseverance to make our world a better place not only for our loved ones, but for the women who have not yet realized their hopes and goals.

Con cariño,

Lorraine Quintanar
